Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms govern your access to and use of the lioth.org website and the Lioth Test App. The Test App is provided for the purpose of testing and exploring the Lioth protocol in a pre-production environment.

2. Eligibility

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to create an account and use the Test App. You must use the service lawfully and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. If you are accessing the Test App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your password or permit others to access your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us at contact@lioth.org promptly.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the website or Test App to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or fraudulent
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access controls
• Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or harvest data without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the service

5. User Content and Submissions

The Test App is designed around three participant roles: requesters (who create campaigns and tasks), contributors (who submit responses to tasks), and validators (who review and assess submissions). Content you submit — including task responses, campaign specifications, and any uploaded materials — remains your responsibility.

You represent that you hold the necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law. You grant Lioth Foundation a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store your submitted content solely for the purpose of operating the Test App and delivering the service to you.

6. Intellectual Property

The lioth.org website, the Test App, and all associated design, software, documentation, and content produced by Lioth Foundation are owned by or licensed to Lioth Foundation. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without prior written permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in our intellectual property beyond what is strictly necessary to use the service.

7. Service Availability — No Warranties

THE TEST APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION THAT THE TEST APP WILL BE CONTINUOUSLY AVAILABLE, ERROR-FREE, OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA LOSS, SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, OR OTHER ISSUES ARISING FROM USE OF A PRE-PRODUCTION APPLICATION.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIOTH FOUNDATION WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE WEBSITE OR TEST APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ACCESS THE TEST APP, IF ANY.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Test App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users, the platform, or Lioth Foundation.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Test App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
